WAT KUK SAMAN KHUN, HATYAI, SONGKHLA

PROJECTS FOR WAT KUK SAMAN KHUN, HATYAI, SONGKHLA, THAILAND

I was approached by the Chief Abbot of Wat Kuk Saman Khun, Venerable Phra Thep Dr Veraphorn in 2003 to raise funds to build the Luang Pu Thuad image at his Temple.

I organized the first fund raising from 1 to 3 May 2004 at the Penang Chinese Chin Woo Association, Burmah Road, Penang.

The second fund raising was held at Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society, Macalister Road, Penang from 8 to 10 August 2008 as follows:-

On 8 August 2008 9 High Monks from Thailand conducted the “Peng Aun Kheng”/Self-Cleansing Prayer.

On 9 August 2008 we prayed “Chooi Chum” in the morning and “Tua Bong Shan” in the evening.

On 10 August 2008 we offered robes to monks followed by “Por Oon” Prayers.

From 26 to 27 June 2010, I organized the offering of robes and “red packets” to 1,000 monks at the Temple.  Vegetarian food was served to all the monks and devotees.  The official Opening Ceremony of the Luang Pu Thuad image was held at the same time.  On that day we also gave presentation to 100 orphans from the school at that Temple.  We gave each of them one set of school uniforms, shoes, food and “red packets”.  About 5,000 devotees turned up for the Ceremony.

On 25 June 2010 Luang Pu Thuad images were made at the Temple.  On 25 June 2010 a Prayer Ceremony (“Pok Sek”) was held to bless all the Luang Pu Thuad images.

May Lord Buddha and Long Phor Thuad bless you all in Dharma.
